Thank you for your interest in our preschool. We would love to have your family become a part of our wonderful preschool community.
First Presbyterian Church Nursery School (FPCNS) provides a loving and developmentally appropriate approach to the early education of your child. We believe that preschool is a time of amazing growth in mind, body and spirit. Our program is built around learning through play. We help children discover their world around them to help prepare them for what lies ahead. Our primary goal is to foster a love of learning.
FPC Nursery School is part of the educational ministry of First Presbyterian Church. Our school has a long history, tradition and commitment to excellence in education, which we are thrilled to extend to children ages 3–5. We welcome all families to our preschool.

Our Philosophy: Play is child’s “work”
First Presbyterian Church Nursery School is a preschool learning center founded in 1975. Because a child learns through their play in their preschool years, the program at FPCNS is play-oriented. Play provides an opportunity for hands-on learning and discovery through the use of a wide variety of materials.

Play provides an opportunity for hands-on learning and discovery through the use of a wide variety of materials.
Activities are selected and organized by qualified and dedicated teachers who have knowledge of the needs and interests of young children. Our curriculum involves the following elements to help children learn through play: thematic units using children’s literature, hands-on science experiments, music/movement, dramatic play, creative art activities, exploring art with different media, small motor manipulatives, large building blocks, indoor/outdoor play areas, cooking fun, letter of the week, pre-math manipulatives.
