FREE Community Food Pantry the 2nd Saturday of the EVEN months in the Great Room. Food distribution begins 8:30/9am and continues until 11:30am or when all the food has been given out.
The CHOPIN Hall Mobile Food Pantry is sponsored by First Presbyterian Church on the SECOND SATURDAY of the EVEN months of the year including February, April, June, August, October, and December. Between 7,500 lbs and 10,000 lbs of food is brought in from the West Ohio Food Bank in Lima and is provided to 150+ families. The mobile pantry offers people an additional opportunity to receive food and is open to anyone in need. There is no proof of financial need required. First Presbyterian Church and CHOPIN Hall are non-profit organizations that serve clients regardless of race, age, or religion.
When receiving food from any mobile pantry people are asked to arrive no earlier than 7:00am. The amount of food put in each food box is adjusted once we know how many families come for help in order to ensure that everyone receives an adequate amount of food. It is suggested that those who attend a mobile pantry arrive by 8:30am. People cannot save spots in line for others. Any chairs/boxes/etc., put out to save a spot in line prior to 7:00am will be removed.
If you would like to volunteer at the Mobile Food Pantry held at First Presbyterian Church, please call the church office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteering just one hour or the entire time is a big help and it is helpful for us to know how many volunteers we will have coming that day.
